Belly Painting + Henna
Want to celebrate and honour your blooming belly?
Belly henna or painting is a beautiful, simple way of celebrating how amazing your body is for undergoing this epic transformation.
What’s Involved in Belly Painting?
Belly art can be done with body paints or with a natural organic plant dye (Henna).
A henna artwork on your belly takes approximately 1.5 hours (painting with body paint is faster) and is done in your own home or another place of your choice. The henna that is used is organic, and it is a natural, safe, plant based dye that stains the skin brown/tan hues for several days or sometimes weeks.
Belly painting sessions also include a mini photo shoot to capture your gorgeous belly with the design.

I wish to acknowledge the origins of henna, which has been used in many cultures and regions including India, Africa, and the Middle East. As a self taught artist from Anglo-Celtic-Greek ancestry I am in no way claiming to be an expert in henna or it’s traditional cultural use. I do hope to humbly share my skills and passion for adorning the blossoming pregnant belly and to help women reclaim a spirit of celebration and ritual during their pregnancy.
